 As a Web Designer and Developer, I use my web developer skills to create solid websites, with robust graphics supported by sound programming and stable templates. As a Web Designer, I create how a website appears that is appealing, with keeping in mind of any branding, and the user experience.

I am able to create websites from beginning to end, which includes, creating a concept (using Fireworks and Photoshop), and then develop the website from an approved concept.

 I have a Bachelor's Degree. I am Security+ Certified (December 2010). I have a Secret Security Clearance.

  • Developing new and enhancing existing web based applications.

Secret Security Clearance, working at GCSS-Army, Fort Lee, VA

  • Re-designed look and feel, and took over maintaining GCSS-Army public website (C#). This includes modifying, and adding Content, Menu, & Telerik Controls in a Team Foundation Service (TFS) environment that requires entering Tasks for each request and checking in files once task is completed that correspond with each other. The website grew expeditiously in less then two years, from 1 Million visitors to are over 7 Million visitors to the website every month, while I was there.
  • Developed and maintaining a GCSS-Army Intranet for employees only, protected by CAC. Changed over the original HTML pages to be VB (Visual Basic) pages to provide additional protection.
  • Providing optional solutions for reworking pages on GCSS-Army public site to comply with CASCOM G4 requests. Solutions I provided where accepted and implemented.
  • Working with 4 different Teams to help communications flow through out Organization. Each Team has it's own function.
  • Designing and implement links, to other DoD websites, that comply with DoD (Department of Defense) and U.S. Army standards and regulations.
  • Performing audits and analyze web traffic.
  • Providing occasional graphic support.

    Doing the same job, just with two different contract companies, Jan 2012 - Nov 2014.

  • February 2014. I managed the Ordnance Corps and School Website, and also managed the Army Sustainment Magazine website. For the Ordnance Corps website, I created an RSS News Feed within 90 days of taking over the website. The Ordnance website is the first website on Fort Lee to have a RSS News Feed.
  • I provided support for the Ordnance Facebook page by creating various Facebook covers, and placing content that was approved by Ordnance on their Facebook page. In Oct 2014 the Ordnance facebook page was featured as the "Social Media Spotlight" on the TRADOC Website. The following week, the Ordnance website was featured as "Website of the Week".
  • Performed the graphical design, site planning and layout of web applications and using HTML (CS6), CSS, and Javascript for the US Army Logistics University website from Jan 2012- Feb 2014. I also took over managing the Army Sustainment Magazine in 2013.
  • Collaborated with a team of other Webmasters to create pages, templates, and scripts for the new look and feel of the CASCOM website. We also work as a team to manage and update the CASCOM website.
  • Worked with business content owners and a variety of content providers, departments and offices to provide solutions, drafting the final version for publication.
  • Performed maintenance, administration, and enhancement of websites and web based services.
  • Designing and implement links, to other DoD websites, that comply with DoD (Department of Defense) and U.S. Army G-6 standards and regulations.
  • Performed audits and analyze web traffic and server load versus server capacity.
  • Provided occasional graphic support to the Executive Operations of CASCOM, for their brochures.
  • Provided Kiosk assistance, by placing flyers for the CASCOM Kiosk, and some maintenance of the Kiosks.

FoxConn;    Oct 2011 - Oct 2011      Application Software Programmer

Short-Term assignment - I assisted in finding a solution, and testing the ability to Export data from Excel 2007 sheets into SQL Server Express 2005 Tables. The solution I found was importing Excel into Access, changing some of the DataTypes, and then exporting from Access into SQL Server Tables. The next challenge was to resolve the differences of the DataTypes that Access had to work with SQL Server. Here is the step-by-step process (PDF).

Managed updates (content) for 84 Investors websites. Using HTML, CSS, and Javascript to incorporate navigation on clients websites, to add Investor Relations pages to their existing website. Investor Relation pages is financial data related to the company (Stock Quotes, SEC Filings, Email Alerts sign-ups, ect). Working with a team in an intense time driven environment, which requires quality and quantity to meet deadlines.

Short Term contract position. Applied programming techniques to fix web pages unimpeded by foreign languages of a content of a multi-national corporation (Kodak.com), using HTML and inline CSS. Used Ektron’s CMS to make HTML , CSS, and Navigation changes. Worked on a team in an intense time driven environment, which required quality and quantity to meet deadlines. While in the Army, I published and managed a website and produced a newsletter for soldiers and their families for four years.

Volunteer;    Jan 06 - May 06      Web Developer and Programmer

As an active member of the Future Solutions Developer Club at ECPI Technical College, I have utilized my classroom skills, to build a website for the Club mostly using ASP. I have assisted building a website for the new Medical Careers Institution School, using ASP, and Flash. I have also participated in either creating a fresh look to other websites, or creating new websites. I assisted in creating a new site (Yoga by Dale), which features a Calendar that users can register for a class, and the owner can add, modify, or delete classes, using ASP. Not only do I have the opportunity to apply my skills on projects for other clients, but I also learned more languages, like Ajax which where not being offered currently in school. Within 12 months of graduating, the FSD Club ended, due to a lack of participation.

US Army; Sept 91-Nov 04

Successfully administered recruiting, training and recognizing volunteers. Distribution information by publishing newsletters, bulletin board, created and managed a website for 4 years. Organized meetings to create a climate that positively reinforced positive relations with family members and soldiers, increasing attendance from 40 to 200 people in less then 1 year.

Operations Non-Commissioned Office (project manager) in charge of tracking and scheduling; training events, movement of personnel and equipment.

Represented the Commander to the families while the unit was away on deployments; providing family support. Received 5 consecutive, Commander’s Gold Family Readiness Awards in Fort Eustis and Fort Story.  Received numerous other recognitions.

Provided personnel administrating training and basic soldiers training to a diverse group of soldiers.  Developed lesson plans, graphs, and other visual aids to present critical concepts in a powerful and persuasive manner.  Strong interpersonal and negotiating skill resulted in an increase of productivity, and reduced accidents.
